America Place 2023 Business Park Appreciation Lunch

Last week America Place hosted their annual Business Park Appreciation Lunch. Guests were invited to enjoy an afternoon of lunch and games as a way for America Place to show their appreciation for the continued years of business.
The event was held on Friday, October 13th, in the parking lot adjacent to the America Place office. Fistful of Tacos food truck catered the event offering several different taco and nacho options for guests. America Place also provided drinks, desserts, and games. Cornhole was a crowd favorite as guests enjoyed playing while waiting in line for lunch and even participating in the cornhole contest. The contest included throwing all the cornhole bags toward the opposite board, and seeing how high of a score you could apprehend. The top six contestants of the day won prizes as well as two lucky guests that were awarded door prizes.
This year’s lunch was not the first. For several years, America Place grilled hot dogs and hamburgers in July for the tenants. The company took a hiatus hosting the event during Covid-19. However, in 2022 they restarted the tradition with a food truck. This not only helped the event run more efficiently, but also was more appealing to guests. As the event has become a steady tradition, attendance over the years has increased. This year attendance was at an all-time high with over 90 guests.

The Business Park is currently home to over 40 tenants, employing almost 1,000 people. These tenants represent businesses ranging from woodworking to window dressing, and design to distribution. Several of the business park units are leased to tenants that have been with us from the very beginning, more than 35 years! All of these businesses and their employees were invited to attend the afternoon to thank them for their years of support and success.
